Testimonials about Jim
"Jim stood up at a City Council meeting when a developer was seeking to change the neighborhoods zoning from Residential to Industrial. He was a great advocate for us and the zoning was kept Residential."
- Michael Ciaccia, Lockport Resident
"I believe Jim will be a respected voice for the residents of the 1st Ward and Jim's professional experience and municipal knowledge will be a great asset on Lockport's City Council."
- Steven Streit, Mayor/Lockport
"Jim has been very active in the community and was especially helpful stopping the zoning change request that would have allowed 700,000 s.f. of warehouses to be built next to our Karen Springs subdivision in lieu of the homes that were originally planned.
He helped organize the neighborhood and spoke on our behalf at the Planning & Zoning and City Council meetings. Jim’s Architectural background, calm demeanor and ability to build consensus will be a great asset to the City Council."
- Jo Anne Bobek, 33C - Butler School PTA Vice President and Lockport Resident
"I support Jim Petrakos to be the next First Ward Alderman because he is a dedicated family man who represents the values of the residents of Lockport. His extensive professional experience and strong work ethic will help lead our city in a positive direction."
- Pete Colarelli, 1st Ward Alderman
"As Lockport's former Alderman and Mayor, I am endorsing Jim Petrakos for Alderman of the First Ward. I believe Jim has what it takes to represent all people of Lockport. I have known Jim to be cooperative, caring, and concerned about city issues at hand. He will work with all on the council, Mayor, city staff and the residents of his ward. Lockport needs balance and fair minded individuals on council and Jim represents those qualities."
- Dev Trivedi, Former Mayor of Lockport
